Dwight Kurt Schrute III is a fictional character on The Office, portrayed by Rainn Wilson. He was a salesman and the assistant to the regional manager at the paper distribution company Dunder Mifflin before his promotion to assistant regional manager.
The comedy is derived from watching in astonishment how various personalities interact while thrown into the workforce surrounding where they are forced to mix, intermingle, work together, and gel in harmony. These personalities are usually the most unlikely people together, yet this is something that inexperienced HR managers in the company rarely or hardly ever take into consideration when they add a new employee. The creators of “The “Office” had fun material to work with and the series highlight that.
